Frequently Asked Questions

What is a House Concert?

Circle of Friends Concerts brings live, original, world-class music into the community. Our concerts have been held in private homes, backyards, community buildings, churches... Our audience is made up of friends, neighbors, fans and anyone that loves great, LIVE music.

Why a House Concert?

House concerts give you an option to skip the drive, parking fees, nose-bleed seats, high ticket prices, stress... a Circle of Friends ticket gets you up close and personal with the artist, in a relaxed setting, close to home, and among neighbors and friends.

What kind of musical acts perform at your concerts?

Our musical acts run the gamut: we have featured bands, duets, solo acts, and even artists-in-the-round. The music is diverse: folk, rock, pop, indie, jazz, hammered dulcimer and even flamenco!

Can I talk to the artists?

Yes! Artists love the opportunity to meet, greet and get instant feedback from the audience. They often have a table with merchandise for sale - CD's, vinyl, t-shirts - and will usually even sign them.

What's the ticket cost?

House concerts are reasonable. Most shows range from $15 to $20 a ticket.

What's your mission?

Our goal is to support musicians - and to bring good music HOME into the community. Circle of Friends is NOT-FOR-PROFIT. We are music lovers, first and foremost! Money from ticket sales goes to the artists. If necessary, a portion pays expenses such as venue rental and sound crew.

Is there an after-party?

The good vibes continue after the music stops! After our concerts, guests are encouraged to meet, mingle and enjoy shared food and drink.  Snacks and sips are a Circle of Friends tradition. Though it's not required, we do invite everyone to bring something to share with fellow concert-goers.

What is your COVID policy?

The safety of our guests and artists is important to us. We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated. Currently, masks are optional whether the concert is indoors or outdoors. However, if there is a change to local guidelines, the policy may change. Check our Facebook page for the most up-to-date news.

Are children allowed?

We have no age-restrictions but suggest that children (and adults) respect the artists and fellow audience members by not being disruptive - whether it's talking too loudly, running around or causing a distraction -  so that everyone can enjoy the show.
